Lesson 11, September 11, 2010
“The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all. . . It teaches us to say ‘No’ to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright godly lives in this present age” Titus 2:11-12
In advance prepare 17 note cards or pieces of paper, place the number 1 on one side of the papers and the number 2 on the other side of each of the papers or cards. Write one of the first 17 words of the Power Text on side one of the papers/cards, on side two write the remaining 17 words of the verse. Invite the students find the verse in their Bible and organize the cards in the proper order with side one facing up. When the first 17 words of the verse are in the right order, ask the student to turn the cards over maintaining the order to find the remaining half of the verse. Ask the students to repeat the verse several times, turning the cards from side one to side two.
